It’s time to sound off Bakersfield! The Condors’ Mailbag, presented by Diamond Technologies, is your opportunity to ask those burning questions about the team, the coaches, the organization — hey, it’s all fair game here. The newest entries to the bag are below.

From Josh: How do we have to be dressed for the job fair?

Josh, it's always a good rule of thumb when going for an interview that you look as presentable as you care to have your prospective employer see you. It's better to over-dress than under-dress, so I'd leave the jeans with holes in them and your Nirvana t-shirt at home. We won't say that you need to wear a suit, necessarily, but I'll put it this way: there will be hundreds of people there looking for a job, and only a few dozen people will be hired. Like it or not, that first impression you make is going to be the long walk from the seating area to your interviewer's table, so make sure that first impression is a good one! Good luck!

From Joshua: How can we apply for the game day positions?

We're glad you're interested in joining the Condors staff! There are a few ways to apply for game day positions. You may fill out an application prior to the Job Fair at the Condors office (1001 Truxtun Ave.) in order to expedite the interview process. Or, you can show up to the Job Fair on Wednesday, September 15, to apply for numerous positions. The Condors are looking for hard-working, energetic people to work merchandise, program sales, chuck-a-puck sales, mascot operations, and more. If you want more info, contact Clay Waddel at 324-PUCK (7825) ext. 207.

From Gregg: When can we purchase individual game tickets? I see Ontario starts selling them on Sept. 10th? Go Condors!!!

Getting the itch for some Condors Hockey I see! We're right there with you and can't wait for the season to kick off. In addition to a ticket package securing the best seats in the house, the Condors are offering great incentives for September, including food vouchers, Kern County Fair tickets, and a jersey raffle, so call the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information or to reserve your ticket package today. If a ticket plan isn't for you, then be ready to be one of the first people in line on Monday, Oct. 4 when individual game tickets go on sale.
