Condors in the Community

TODAY:
Baby Cal kicked off a fundraiser at Cesar Chavez Magnet School, located at 4201 Mesa Marin Drive, from 1-2 p.m. Cal met up with the school’s glee club which is using the Condors to help raise money for their school.

Tues. February 28th:
Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl will be on the airwaves at 8:20 a.m. on 92.1 MAX FM talking about the Condors game later that night.

The Condors return home to take on the Utah Grizzlies at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Don’t miss out on your last chance to see the team before they hit the road for 12 days. Enjoy half-price beer through the end of the first intermission and bring two canned food items to the game to receive a $1 ticket. The game is sponsored by My45, 92.1 MAX FM, and Bud Light.

Wed. February 29nd:
The Condors are participating in a city-wide Leap Day promotion called “One MORE Day to Explore Bakersfield.” Fans can purchase a ticket to the any Condors game and will receive a second ticket of equal or lesser value for any home game the rest of the regular season. Baby Cal will spend the extra day in February at Juliet Thorner School, located at 5501 Thorner St., from 11-12 p.m. It’s another example of a school using the Condors to raise money through fundraising and Cal will get the students excited to reach their goals. Thurs. March 1st:
Condors defenseman Keith Wynn will read to students at Old River Elementary, located at 9815 Campus Park Drive, from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Keith will pick out a selection of his favorite books to read.

Franklin Elementary will get a visit from Colonel Claw’d and Condors staff from 6-7 p.m. The school is located at 2400 Truxtun Ave. and begins the celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
The Condors take their show on the road for a 6:05 p.m. game in Loveland, CO against the Colorado Eagles. Ryan Holt will get you set with Condors Countdown beginning at 5:45 p.m. The game will be aired in its entirety on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, www.foxsports970am.com, iheartradio app, and on www.americaone.com.

Fri. March 2nd:
The Condors and Colonel Claw’d will entertain students at Olive Drive Elementary School, located on 7800 Darrin Ave., from 8-8:45 a.m.

Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl will  be a guest on the Scott Cox Show at 4:00 p.m. on KERN Radio 1180 AM.

Throughout the day, the Condors and the front office will help celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by visiting schools and reading his classics to students around Kern County. Here is a list of the schools that members of the organization and the mascots will attend: Lamont Elementary School, Myrtle Avenue School, Fairview Elementary, North Beardsley Elementary, MacFarland Middle School, Browning Road School, Beardsley Elementary, Horace Mann Elementary School, Wingland Elementary School, Colonel Nichols Elementary School, and Highland Elementary School.

Sat. March 3rd:
The Condors wrap up a two-game set on the ice in Colorado with a 6:05 p.m. game against the Eagles. Condors Countdown with Ryan Holt starts at 5:45 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, www.foxsports970am.com, iheartradio app, and www.americaone.com.

Sun. March 4th:
Colonel Claw’d will get healthy at the Healthy Bakersfield Expo held at the Double Tree Hotel located at 3100 Camino Del Rio Court, from 1-2 p.m.


LADIES NIGHT IN MARCH

Another highlight to the Condors calendar has been set as well with “Ladies Night” to be held on Monday, March 12 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $40 for season ticket holders and $50 for non-season ticket holders. It’s a special event for the Condors women only as they get special tours of the rink, instruction from the players and coaches, and have an opportunity to ask the team plenty of questions!
