Leslie, 22, will be in his rookie season in the pro ranks after appearing in just six games in 2004-05 with Missouri in the United Hockey League. The Lampman, Saskatchewan native had one assist in his brief pro stint upon completing one season with the University of Manitoba. He recorded 21 points in 38 games with his university team, finishing as the leading defensive scorer. The 5’7”, 185-pound Leslie played four years of major junior hockey with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League, averaging 39 points over his last three campaigns.
