Condors close out Aces with 3-1 win

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – LW Guillaume Lefevbre scored his first goal for the Bakersfield Condors (22-20-1-1, 46pts) as they defeated the Alaska Aces (24-16-2-0, 50pts) in front of 3,377 fans at Sullivan Arena on Sunday Night.

LW Guillaume Lefebvre put the Condors on the board to give Bakersfield a first period lead.Lefebvre crashed the net and pulled the puck out of a pile of players to knock it home at 8:45. RW Stephane Goulet gave the Condors their biggest lead of the weekend exactly two minutes later when he picked off a pass from G Adam Courchaine and buried a shot into a wide open net. The Condors led 2-0 at the end of the frame.

Neither team was able to find the scoresheet in the middle frame, which was highlighted by a 16 save effort in the period by Condors G Brian Stewart. However, at 9:46 of the third period, C Brian Swanson deflected a shot past Stewart to bring the score to 2-1. LW Brad Snetsinger finished off the scoring and the Aces comeback chance when he deposited an empty netter to give the Condors a 3-1 victory.
