Condors Weekly: Lengthy road trip underway

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors had a 1-1-1-0 weekend, as they wrapped up their five-game home stand Saturday night and then started their current six-game road trip Sunday afternoon in Stockton. The Condors are 3-4-1-0 on the season, with seven points in the standings – two points out of first place in the Pacific Division.

F Tyler Brenner scored his first goal as a Condor late in the second  period, while Vegas answered with a third period power play goal, and the goaltenders did the rest. Bakersfield, guided by 43 saves by G Scott Greenham, prevailed with F Peter Boyd scoring the only shootout tally.

Stockton 4 vs. CONDORS 3
Bakersfield held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by F Parker Stanfield and D Justin Pender. But the Thunder came back with three straight tallies and took the comeback victory. D Erik Burgdoerfer scored a third period goal to pull within a tally, but they couldn’t close the gap.
Sunday
STOCKTON 3 vs. Condors 2, OT

G Scott Greenham stood on his head through regulation and nearly all of overtime, making 42 saves, but Stockton scored the game winner with only six seconds remaining in the extra session. F Tyler Brenner (his second of the weekend) and F Jacob Legace both lit the lamp for Bakersfield.
