OILERS ASSIGN FOUR

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the Edmonton Oilers have assigned RW Patrick Russell and G Nick Ellis to Bakersfield. In addition, the Oilers have also placed RW Ty Rattie and D Dillon Simpson on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Bakersfield.
CONDORS ROSTER MOVES
  • Russell enters his second year pro; he represented Denmark over the summer at the IIHF World Championships
  • Ellis also enters his second professional season; last year he went 16-12-3 with a 2.69 GAA and a .918 save percentage with the Condors
  • Rattie enters his first season in the Oilers organization; he was an AHL All-Star with Chicago in 2014-15 and in 2013-14, he led all AHL rookies in goal scoring with 31
  • Simpson enters his third season in Bakersfield and fourth overall in the Oilers organization; he made his NHL debut last season with Edmonton
Bakersfield’s roster now sits at 33 players with three goaltenders, 21 forwards, and nine d-men.
