Stockton stunned, stymied, and sent packing by Condors, 4-1

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. The Bakersfield Condors (29-24-2-1, 61pts) powered past the Stockton Thunder (27-19-4-5, 63pts) with three power play goals en route to a  4-1 in front of 4,303 fans at Rabobank Arena Saturday afternoon. The Condors swept the Stockton Thunder in a three game series this week.
For the first time in the three game series, the Condors got on the Pascal Morencyboard first. RW Pascal Morency blasted a one-timer from the high-slot at 9:49 to give the Condors a 1-0 lead. Stockton tied the game at 14:52 when C Chris Lawrence netted a power play goal to even the score at 1-1.

Despite a flurry of shots from Stockton throughout the second period, the Condors power play took center stage. With Bakersfield on the power play and a delayed penalty coming to Stockton, D Tyler Gotto ripped a slap shot past G Zane Kalemba to give Bakersfield a 2-1 lead. C Joel Broda scored his 5th goal in the last three games 26 seconds later, also on the power play, to boost Bakersfield to 3-1 lead at the second break.

The power play stayed hot in the third period, as C Adam Naglich redirected a pass into the net at 2:06 and the Condors led 4-1, all but putting the Thunder away. G Josh Tordjman stopped 36 of the 37 shots he faced to earn the win.
