$10,000 Season Ticket Holder Giveaway Planned

Couldn't you go for a nice, big pile of money right about now? How does $10,000 sound? If things go well down the stretch drive for the Bakersfield Condors, one lucky season ticket holder will walk away from this season $10,000 richer.

The premise is this: from March 11th through the first home game of the opening round of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs, the Condors have 10 home games remaining. If the Condors win all ten of those remaining home games, one name will be drawn at random from the team's season ticket holder database. Their prize will be a $10,000 jackpot.

The winner must be a 2004-05 season ticket holder, and a deadline has been set as Friday, March 11th to sign up for pro-rated season tickets. All current season ticket holders will be automatically eligible. The goal of the contest is to raise the season ticket holder base in order to bring in the largest crowds possible to help cheer on the team to victory.

Coaching Trio Commits for the Future

With two months still remaining in the 2004-05 ECHL season, the Bakersfield Condors have made their first move in solidifying their team for 2005-06. Head Coach Marty Raymond, Assistant Coach Paul Willett and Director of Player Personnel Bob Bartlett have all signed contract extensions through the end of the 2005-06 season. "I'm happy to be coming back next year so we can continue what we started on the road for a championship," said Raymond. "This year, our goal was to establish a good hockey team that was fun to watch and make the playoffs. We're not done yet, but we have a contender. I think the three of us form a good trio and we want to be back here together."
