The Bakersfield Condors and KUZZ 107.9 are proud to have partnered up with Houchin Blood Bank once again, as fans helped the bank significantly increase their blood donations and set record numbers for the month of March.

Traditionally, the Condors blood drive brings in slightly over 500 donations for the blood needs of our community. During the week of March 26, there was high visual exposure with mascot appearances, player appearances as well as radio and media coverage resulting in 835 registered donors, accounting for 632 actual units that week alone! From: David
This was the second year that our six-year-old daughter was a member of the Condors Kids Club and I have to say that you guys did a great job with it. The end of the year party was the best yet. My daughter had a blast for the entire two hours and the Condors staff, as well as the staff of Rollerama West were great. One thing, could you please remind the rest of the Condors fans out there that this is meant for the kids. I saw many children get overlooked or pushed aside by adults that were trying to get to the players. Adults, you can get your photos and signatures at other times, leave this event for the kids.

    Mailbag Response:
We’re so pleased that your daughter had such a great time at the Kid’s Club Party. The event was a huge success attracting over 300 Condor’s fans. I must say that players Rejean Beauchemin, Jamie Hodson, Alexandre Bolduc, Scott Borders, Rane Carnegie, Todd Griffith, Mike Hofstrand, Andrew Ianiero, Tyler Liebel, Josh Liebenow, Brett Lutes, Alex Rogosheske, Kevin St Jacques, Sean Venedam, David Kudelka, Reagan Leslie, Mark Malone, Andrew Oke, Steve Rodberg, Tyler Scott and Kevin Truelson were the reason the event was such a success. The guys are great with the kids and we all know the kids adore them.

The Condors stand by family entertainment and value our Condors kids. We continually strive to improve our Kid’s Club and other kids programs and we appreciate all input. Unfortunately there are only so many ways to emphasize that a “Kid’s Club” event is actually for the kids, but we do appreciate our parent involvement because without them we wouldn’t have a Kid’s Club.

A big thank you to Rollerama West, the Condor’s Communications Department, and most of all Jill Watts our Community Relations Director. Go Condors!

    Special Projects Manager

    Back In Black

Black; the color of authority, dominance and power. A color that thousands of dedicated Condors fans will be wearing every playoff game to support the team. Thousands of fans wearing the same color, creating one voice for one goal: the Kelly Cup.

Authority - The power to settle issues or disputes or the right to control.
During the season, the Condors have shown time and time again they will step in to protect a teammate or fight for what they believe in. Nine teams in the league have more penalty minutes than the Condors and only three of them will be in the National Conference playoff chase.

Dominance - The state that exists when one person or group has power over another.
The Condors are tied for the second most wins in the league this season with 40 victories. Along the way to winning so many games, they have scored 255 goals this season, the second highest mark in the league. If you still don’t believe the Condors are dominant, just ask Long Beach about the 10-goal whipping they received on December 2.

Power - The ability or capacity to perform or act effectively.
The Condors have shown the power to perform up to the highest levels this season, picking up three hat tricks, two by Brett Lutes and one by Todd Griffith, and three shutouts courtesy of Jamie Hodson, including back-to-back shutouts during the Condors nine-game road trip.

It’s time to pump up the volume and tune out the distractions. The Nest is one of the loudest, if not the loudest arena in the ECHL. While it may not win an award for being the loudest, we fans know it is and know it will be even louder during the playoffs. Fans will be out in full force with cowbells, thundersticks, horns, and most importantly, their voice. Noise during the playoffs is always a definite plus, but screaming to let your Condors know you’re behind them is energizing.

Start going through your clothes or take a trip to the Condors Team Store to find your best black clothing to support your team and show the rest of the league that Condorstown is a town of authority, dominance and power.

Happy Birthday Condor Players And Staff
