  • The Condors set a new playoff single game attendance team record on April 13, when 7,219 fans watched as the Condors beat the Falcons, 4-2 . The previous high was 6,853 set last season.

  • Shirt Proceeds Help For Fresh Start

The Condors Hockey players presented Andrew Oke with a $4,485 check on April 6, to help him jump-start his new golf career. The Condors teamed up with the booster club to create Andrew Oke shirts with all the proceeds going to Andrew since he can no longer play hockey.

The whole team invited Andrew onto the ice during the first intermission for the check presentation and thanked Andrew for his leadership with the team and all the fans in Condorstown. Shirts are still available for purchase at all Condors home games.

Condors Camo Warm Up Jerseys Raise $20,250!

The Condors Camo Warm up jerseys were recently silent auctioned during Games 1 and 3 of the National Conference Quarterfinals and raised $20,250 for the Active 20/30 organization. All proceeds will be distributed to the youth of Kern County.

Todd Griffith's and Andrew Oke's jerseys were auctioned live on the ice during the first intermission of the games. A portion of the proceeds will go to Hannah Strategos, a four year old who recently had a brain tumor removed and is undergoing treatments. Oke's jersey alone raised $2,700 towards the cause. Oke's jersey auction all-time total for one-year stands at $9,700.

"Nissan of Bakersfield is very proud to team with the Condors and their successful organization," said Nissan of Bakersfield parts manager Jeremy Watt. "We are happy to sponsor the promotion where fans can shoot a puck for a new car and look forward to the day when one lucky Condors fan can drive home with something they didn't come to the game with."

    Injury Update - Todd Griffith

Condors All-Star rookie Todd Griffith could potentially return to the lineup sometime next round if the Condors advance past Fresno.

Griffith broke his third, fourth and fifth metatarsals during a altercation in the Condors March 13 win over the Phoenix RoadRunners. Griffith's rehabbing is coming along as expected and he is currently working out, skating and taking wrist shots.

Before breaking his hand, Griffith tallied 26 goals and has 43 points in 46 games. Even though he couldn't play the last 12 games of the regular season, he was selected to the ECHL All-Rookie team.

    From: D
It's been amazing how this series has completely turned around. I am a Falcon fan but what I saw the Condors do to us here at Save Mart Center was very impressive. They totally outplayed us and wanted it more. The amount of fans that Bakersfield brought on Sunday was also impressive. Your spirit is great! But, I do have to say I think Fresno will regroup and win Game 6 and then beat the Condors in overtime on Friday night. So enjoy this while you can.....Fresno will get the last hurrah!

    Mailbag Response:
Although we could not agree more that this first round series has been truly amazing and that the spirit of "CONDORSTOWN" is awesome, we must respectfully disagree on your assessment of which team will "get the last hurrah." ;-) All kidding aside, this series is just another example of an incredible rivalry between two quality playoff teams that have the passionate support of two great communities. Let's hope for more of the same excitement and intensity this Thursday for Game 6 and just maybe we'll see you at "The Nest!"
