In conjunction with the Condors upcoming 10th Anniversary Season, we continue to shine the spotlight on some of the Condors legends from past years. In this edition of Blast from the Past, we caught up with goaltender Kevin St. Pierre, currently playing with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League. St. Pierre played just a single season with Bakersfield, but it was a memorable one. In 2002-03, he led the West Coast Hockey League in wins, goals against average and save percentage. He recorded four shutouts, won the Goaltender of the Week award eight times and was selected First Team All-WCHL, Outstanding Goaltender and League MVP. "That year was the turning point in my career. I had a great team in front of me with a good defensive system and it was really a group award, not an individual one," St. Pierre said. "The year was also special because the fans were there night in and night out supporting us. It's nice to be appreciated and they always backed us, win or lose, as long as we gave the effort."
