The Condors were able to put away one win in the three-game series against the Aces this past weekend. Friday’s 3-1 loss was the first loss of the season for the Condors. The only point for the Condors in Friday’s game was from Scott Basiuk, his first goal of the season. The following night the Condors were able to beat the Aces 2-1, with the help of Andrew Ianiero’s unassisted OT goal. Kevin St. Jacques broke the scoreless game with a power play goal in the 3rd, the Aces answered back minutes later. Unfortunately forward Justin Quenneville suffered an injury, which landed him on the 30-day IR. Ryan Cyr made his debut in front of the net on Sunday and blocked 28 of 32 shots. The Condors were unable to put points on the board as Alaska scored four unanswered goals. Winger Kevin Kotyluk suffered a leg injury and was put on the 30-day IR. Kotyluk and Quenneville are both undergoing surgery today, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
