    Home Games Tonight & Saturday- Special Quinn Fair Jersey to be Auctioned

    The Condors will line up against the Gulls at 7:00pm tonight for the first Student ID Night of the season. High school and college students can show a valid school ID and receive a lower-level ticket for $1, subject to availability. Thursday is also Military Appreciation Nigh, all military personnel will receive two for one admission by presenting their military ID at the Rabobank box office.

    The Condors will face off against the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Saturday night. Fans will have the chance to participate in the first jersey raffle and auction of the season courtesy of Bright House Networks, KUZZ 107.9 and McDonalds. Each fan will have a chance to win one of five commemorative game-worn jerseys celebrating Bakersfield’s heritage. During the 1st intermission and after the game, fans will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite players' jersey. All proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

    In addition to the current team, former Condor Quinn Fair will also have his #21 jersey auctioned off. Last year the Condors held four jersey auctions in which brought in $72,500 was raised, bringing the seven-year grand total $274,737.

    Rocky Nash will be performing “Bobblehead” on the Centennial Plaza prior to the start of the game on Saturday. During the 1st intermission, Rocky Nash will then perform “Hockey Hangover” from the Growing Up Fighting: Bakersfield Hockey Vol. 1 compilation album.

    Coach’s Show and Condors Countdown Merge Tonight

    The Coach’s Show and Condors Countdown merge for a special pre-game airing tonight. Condors Broadcaster Devin Rossiter and KGEO’s “Puck” will host the Coach’s Show for 45 minutes beginning at 6:00pm. The last 15 minutes of the Coach’s Show will transition into the Condors Countdown. The Coach’s Show is aired live from the Holiday Inn Select’s Q Street Lounge at 801 Truxtun Ave. The “Condors Coach’s Show” is carried live most Thursdays from 6:00 – 7:00pm on KGEO AM 1230. Next week the Coach’s Show will not air due to Thanksgiving.

    Condors Anthem Singer Is Big Country Music Star

    Just four seasons ago country music singer Brad Paisley was crooning the National Anthem at a Condors game, and now he’s a big country music star. Paisley and fellow singer Lee Ann Womack tied for the most nominations, each garnering six nods at the Monday night CMAs. Paisley performed “Whiskey Lullaby,” which was awarded Song of the Year at the CMAs. Also, it’s no secret, that Amy Adams, who garnered national fame as a finalist in the American Idol competition, sang the Anthem at numerous Condors game in the early days of the Centennial Garden (Rabobank Arena).

    Condors in the Sky

    It’s a plane! It’s a UFO! No, it’s the Condors new outdoor blimp! Sponsored by Lennar Homes, the 24 foot by 8 foot outdoor blimp will fly high above the Rabobank Arena on game days to let everyone know that there is a hockey game in Condorstown.

    Field Trip/Businesspersons Special

    On Tuesday, November 22nd, a special 10:30am start time allows schools to attend a hockey game as part of an educational fieldtrip. Students receive an education booklet that covers health, science, math, language and geography as it pertains to the sport of hockey courtesy of the Bakersfield Californian, FOX 58, KGEO AM 1230 and Arrival Communications.

    Businesspersons are invited to attend the game during their “lunch break” as the Condors take on the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Tuesday, fans will receive a two for one discount for tickets purchased after 11:30am.

    Have You Ever Wanted to Throw Something on the Ice During a Game?

    On Saturday, November 26th, you’ll have your chance. Join the Condors for the annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are asked to bring a new or gently used teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw on the ice when the Condors score their first goal. All teddy bears and stuffed animals will be collected by United Way and then distributed to local charities. Last year more than 7,100 teddy bears were collected bringing the six-year total to 26,235 bears. This year’s Teddy Bear Toss is sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News, KERN 1410 AM and Well Fargo. Wells Fargo will be donating 1000 of their stuffed mascot - Jack the dog.

    Project Warm Families Coat Collection

    On Wednesday, November 30th, the Condors will hold the Project Warm Families Coat Collection courtesy of KGET-TV 17, News Radio 970 KGET, and Barber Honda. All fans are asked to donate a new or gently used coat and receive entrance to the game for $1 The coats will be collected by Junior Achievement and distributed to different organizations including the Jamison Center and Boys and Girls Club. Last year more than 2,800 coats were collected at the Condors game. This night the famous Stanley Cup will make it’s appearance in Bakersfield too. More to come on that!

    Annual Golf Tournament

    The Bakersfield Condors held the 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, November 7th at Rio Bravo Country Club. The tournament raised more than $4,500 dollars, which will go towards local charities.

    A Condors player joined every foursome and the groups tested their skills with unique hole activities. Terrio Therapy and defenseman Scott Basiuk came in first while Eric Neilson and his foursome took home the last place prize. Other awards included best poker hand, longest drive and closest to the pin.

    A Few New Faces in Condorstown

    Forward Nick Ganga joined the Condors on November 6th. Defensemen Jordan Little joined the Condors lineup last Wednesday. Little played in his first games as a Condor this past weekend against the Las Vegas Wranglers. Forward Nick Economakos (pictured) joined the Condors on Wednesday. Left-wing Michel Massie was released from squad on Tuesday.

    League Spotlight Shines on Condors Captain

    Condors Captain Sean Venedam was named runner up for the ECHL’s In Glas Co Player of the Week Award October 31st thru November 6th.

    The Bakersfield captain recorded points in two of the three Condors games that weekend including a hat trick on November 5th.

    Stay tuned for more news on Venedam, as the Condors captain pushes to reach his 200th professional goal. Venedam needs two goals to accomplish this milestone.
