UPDATED COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Please check this page, including the FAQ section at the bottom of the page, often for the latest protocols affecting events at Mechanics Bank Arena including Bakersfield Condors home games.

In accordance with California Department of Public Health guidelines regarding mega-events, effective Monday, September 20, all fans attending any event at Mechanics Bank Arena, including Bakersfield Condors games, will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of game date.

For guests under 12 years of age, a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of game date is required upon entry.

Attendees may verify their vaccination status by showing their vaccination card, a photo of their vaccination card, or documentation from a healthcare provider along with their government issued photo ID prior to entry. An attendee’s negative COVID-19 test result may be verified by printed document from test provider or laboratory, or email or text of the result from the test provider or laboratory. PCR and antigen tests are acceptable. At-home “rapid” tests are not acceptable.

The aforementioned are to currently remain in place until November 1, 2021, and apply to Condors games in October (preseason on Oct. 8; regular season on Oct. 16, Oct. 17, Oct. 23, and Oct. 27).

  • What are the mask requirements for attending games?
    • Masks are recommended for all attendees; masks are required for all non-vaccinated individuals for entry
  • Is there pre-game COVID-19 testing available at games?
    • Yes. Atlas Urgent Care, the official urgent care of the Condors, will offer $25 rapid COVID-19 testing beginning 90 minutes prior to each game. ID is required. Free COVID-19 testing is available at their location on 5531 Business Park South, 93309 daily from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Results take 2-3 days.   • Are there social distancing requirements and / or seating pods such as the 2020-21 season?
    • No there are no explicit social distancing requirements nor seating pods.
  • Will fans be allowed to eat / drink at their seats?
    • Yes! Fans will be able to eat and drink at their seats or enjoy their food and beverage at one of the many areas around the arena concourse.
  • Which games do these protocols apply to?
    • Protocols are in place until November 1 and apply to Condors games on Oct. 8 (preseason), Oct. 16, Oct. 17, Oct. 23, and Oct. 27.
