Jake Varner Night highlights three games in Condorstown this week

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors have an exciting trio of games coming up this week on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena. This week’s games are perfect for students on break, parents looking to get out of the house, or anyone that is looking for a good time!


Thursday night against the rival Stockton Thunder is the muchpublicized Boomtown Bakersfield Night with EVERYONE in attendance receiving a $1 million dollar bill. Plus, the first 100 kids will receive a brand new car, with a few Rolls Royce’s mixed in, because we’re rolling in the dough in Bako! To show our appreciation for all they do for us, ALL city employees of ANY city will receive FREE lower level admission by presenting proof of employment. It is our way of saying thanks for making Condorstown and other cities in our area great places to live.

On Friday against Stockton, the first 2,000 fans five and older willreceive a hockey voodoo dollpresented by My 45 and 97.3 JACK FM. Come let your inner-Scrooge out with these voodoo dolls to help inflict pain on our opponent and lead the Condors to victory.

USA wrestling superstar and 2012 London Olympics gold medalist Jake Varner will be in the house on Saturday as the Condors honor him with Jake Varner Night presented by 92.1 MAX FM,American Business Machines and TERRIO Physical Therapy. While the team battles the Idaho Steelheads on the ice, the Condorstown native will be in the Condors photo booth for pictures and autographs with fans through the end of the first intermission.

Jake will hold a special Q&A session with fans at 5 p.m. In order to attend this incredible opportunity to hear from a gold-medal winning Olympian himself, purchase a Condors ticket plan OR book a group of 10 or more by calling 324-PUCK (7825).

In addition, the Condors will wear special Varner jerseys which havealready received national headlines. The jerseys feature the wrestler’s singlet, gold medal, and even eight-pack abs! The Condors will auction off a special Chris Kushneriuk #18 jersey to help raise funds for his battle with testicular cancer.

In team history, the Condors have raised $818,343 for local charities as a result of the team’s jersey auctions.

All games start at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. (5:45 p.m. for season ticket holders).

Following the games, stop by the Bakersfield Marriott autograph booth on the concourse near the main doors to get your picture taken and autograph from your favorite team members. On Thursday, D Tyson Gimblett and D Trevor Hendrikx will sign for fans while on Friday, D Erik Burgdoerferand F Evan Trupp will man the booth. There is no autograph booth on Saturday with the jersey auction post-game.
