Condors in the Community: Matt Keetley and Peter Boyd to serve a meal at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission Thursday

Monday Dec. 19:

Baby Cal and members of the Condors staff will head to the California Highway Patrol Kids Toy Distribution held at Club Jamba, located at 4450-A California Ave. from 5-6 p.m. The event distributes toys to needy children during the holiday season. Baby Cal always enjoys putting a smile on the kids’ faces!

Tuesday Dec. 20:

Mike Hart
and the morning crew at “Good Morning Kern County” on ABC23 will get a special visit from California native and Condors enforcer Hans Benson at 6 a.m. The Condors alternate captain will talk to Mike about playing in California and will even sport the team’s Revolutionary War/Don’t Tread on Me jersey which will be auctioned off for charity following Monday’s game against Stockton. Tune in to see what they look like!

The Condors will once again team up with Bright House Networks and La Campesina 92.5 FM for the “Classroom of the Month,”from 12:15-1 p.m. This month, Condors defenseman Keith Wynnand broadcaster Ryan Holt will recognize Mrs. Hall’s 6th grade classroom at Caesar Chavez Elementary school. The school is located at 4201 Mesa Marin Drive. The class will receive tickets to an upcoming Condors game and will hear from Keith (a college graduate) about the importance of school in his life.

Wednesday Dec. 21:

The Condors return to Rabobank Arena to take on the Colorado Eagles at 7 p.m. for their last game before Christmas. Bakersfield is holding a Guaranteed Win Night. If the Condors win, everyone gets an early holiday present! If the Condors lose, tickets from the game can be redeemed at the box office on Dec. 26th. High school and college students can get into the game for $1 by presenting their school ID’s at the box office. The game is presented by My 45 and La Campesina 92.5 FM.

Thursday Dec. 22:

Condors goaltender Matt Keetley and forward Peter Boyd will take time away from their holiday breaks to give back to the local community by serving a meal at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission,located at 816 E. 21st Street, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The BRM helps its residents and guests move toward independent living by providing an environment of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Condors Insider returns to the airwaves from 6-7 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970. Ryan Holt will host the show from Bakersfield and will be joined by Head Coach Matt O’Dette along with members of the team. You’ll get all the inside information during the show and will hear the latest news from around the ECHL with the ECHL plays of the week. You may even find out what they want for the holidays!

Friday Dec. 23:

The Condors front office will be closed for the holiday weekend, but will reopen on Monday morning at 10 a.m.


Monday Dec. 26:

The Condors face off against the rival Stockton Thunder on Boxing Day at 7 p.m. Bakersfield will don special Revolutionary War/Don’t Tread on Me jerseys which will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Get Fit Club. Everyone in attendance will have a chance to win one of five which will be raffled off. The game is presented by ABC 23 and MAX 92.1 FM.
