Condors Military Appreciation Night Saturday

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors are on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena this Saturday night, November 14, for Military Appreciation Night featuring specialty jerseys honoring the 240th Anniversary of the United States Marine Corps. Plus, all military members, active or retired, can receive up to four complimentary tickets to the game by presenting their military ID at the box office.
1) MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT / JERSEYS OFF OUR BACKS – SATURDAY

  • Condors will wear specialty jerseys commemorating the 240th Anniversary of the Marines
  • Features of the jersey include:
    • Marines camouflage on the sleeves and waist
    • The USMC seal on one shoulder
    • The USMC bulldog on the opposing shoulder, the mascot of the Marines
    • The front of the jersey features the Condors logo in camouflage with the silhouettes of the Iwo Jima memorial and the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem
    • Mottos featured on the jersey include “Semper Fi (Always Faithful),” “Don’t Tread on Me,” and “First to Fight.”
  • The jerseys will be auctioned off post-game with proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association; everyone in attendance will have a chance to win one of five to be given away
  • All military members, past and present, can receive up to four complimentary tickets by presenting their military ID at the box office
  • Game time: 7 p.m. // Doors open at 6 p.m. (5:45 p.m. for members)

2) WOUNDED HEROES VETERAN SPOTLIGHT AND SWEARING-IN CEREMONY

  • In the first period, Jarrod Scott will be honored as the Wounded Heroes Fund and Carl’s Jr. Veteran of the Night.
  • During the first intermission, men and women will take the Oath of Enlistment into the United States Army
  • The United States National Anthem will be performed by members of the Marines
  • The Condors will wear special “Project 22” stickers on their helmets; an awareness campaign to bring attention to the high rate of suicides within the veteran community

3) CONDORS WRAP ROAD TRIP IN SAN DIEGO TODAY

  • The Condors are in San Diego to take on the Gulls today at 7:05 p.m.
