The Condors killed off the only two power plays in a scoreless first period of action, highlighted by some key early stops by Greenham. C Peter Boyd had the best scoring chance, on a two-on-one in tight, but was denied point blank by Idaho G Tyler Beskorowany. The Steelheads outshot the Condors, 10-7.
Bakersfield had three full power plays in the second period, but could not covert and the game remained scoreless after two frames. Shots favored the Condors, 13-12.
The scoreless tie was snapped near the midway point of the third. F Liam Huculak picked up his second of the season at 9:54. The Steelheads bounced back, however, leveling the score at 13:05 on a goal by C Justin Dowling.
