Condors Weekly: A return to home ice this weekend

CONDORSTOWN – The Bakersfield Condors return from Alaska after three straight setbacks against the first place Aces. Their first win of the season has proven elusive, with a road contest in San Francisco and home games against Las Vegas and Stockton coming up this weekend. The Condors are 0-6-0-1 with one point in the standings.
Alaskan Deep Freeze, – Aces win 6-3, 5-0, 4-0
The Condors three-game jaunt to Anchorage started out brilliantly, as they opened the first game with leads of 2-0 and 3-1, behind goals by D Blake Kessel, D David Musil and F Jordan Knackstedt. But in the second frame Alaska rallied and it was the last time they trailed the entire weekend.Alaska scored five unanswered goals in Friday’s game to take the 6-3 victory. They came back with two straight shutouts, courtesy of G Laurent Brossoit, en route to the sweep. With G Tyler Bunz still in the American Hockey League, G Paul Karpowich was left to shoulder the load all weekend in the Condors net.
