TONIGHT
The 6-seeded Bakersfield Condors open up the Western Conference Semifinals with home ice advantage against the 7-seeded Stockton Thunder. Bakersfield was 6-4-1 against Stockton in the regular season and closed the season series with a 6-1-1 VsSTK - red record over the final eight games between the two sides. It is the second postseason meeting of the two California rivals all-time with Stockton winning the 2010 Western Conference Semifinals round, 4-1.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
Bakersfield knocked off the 3-seeded Utah Grizzlies in five games. After splitting two, one-goal contests in Utah, the Condors returned home to win games 3 and 4 in overtime before cruising into the second round with a 5-0 Game 5 triumph.

Stockton was the first team in the ECHL to punch their ticket to the second round, sweeping the 2-seeded Ontario Reign in four games. The Thunder took advantage of a scheduling issue which forced Ontario on the road to start the series for the first two games. When the series shifted to the Inland Empire, the results stayed the same as Stockton took game 3 and then came from behind in Game 4 to salt the series away.
