GAME PREVIEW: Condors host San Antonio

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. –  The Bakersfield Condors host the San Antonio Rampage at 5 p.m. on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena. Today is the fifth annual Undie Sunday with fans encouraged to throw new, packaged undergarments on the ice after the Condors first goal for charity. After the game, hit the ice with the team for a post-game skate.
Great seats start at just $12 ($13 day of game) and can be purchased here or at the Rabobank Arena Box Office.
PROMOTION DETAILS: Undie Sunday presented by 98.5 The FOX. Bring new, packaged undergarments, socks, and shirts to the game to throw on the ice after the Condors first goal to be collected and donated to the Bakersfield Homeless Center. After the game, hit the ice for a post-game skate with the team. Limited skate rental available for $5 (free for Condors365 Members)

Please allow extra time for arrival as Rabobank Arena has installed metal detectors at all entrances. Doors open at 4 p.m. (3:45 p.m. for Condors365 Members).

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors host the San Antonio Rampage for the only time this season. In last season’s series matchup, the Condors went 4-1-1 against their former Pacific Division counterparts. On home ice, the Condors were 2-0-1 against San Antonio.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield raced out to a 3-0 lead and picked up their second consecutive home win, 4-3, over the Texas Stars last night. LW Joe Gambardella, LW Evan Polei, LW Braden Christoffer, and RW Cameron Hebig all had goals. Polei had his first multi-point night game of the season. G Al Montoya returned to the lineup and picked up his third win of the season with a season-high 27 saves.

San Antonio played the middle game of a three games-in-three nights stretch and earned a 4-0 shutout of the Stockton Heat on the road last night. G Jordan Binnington stopped all 30 shots he faced. Leading scorer LW Brian Flynn scored his first goal of the season.

CONDORS STREAKING AGAINST SAN ANTONIO AT HOME
Bakersfield is 5-0-2 in its last seven home games against the Rampage. The last time the Condors lost in regulation at home to San Antonio was on January 6, 2018. Overall, the Condors are 5-1-2 on home ice against San Antonio.

HEY ROOKS
Rookies and linemates, LW Tyler Benson and RW Cameron Hebig are each in the AHL’s top-20 in rookie scoring. Hebig is tied for 5th with 10 points (5g-5a) in eight games while Benson is t-13th with eight points (1g-7a) in eight games.

GOAL DIFFERENTIAL
The Condors +8 goal differential is second best in the division and fifth in the Western Conference.
