TONIGHT
It is a matchup of the top two teams in the Pacific Division as the Bakersfield Condors host the San Jose Barracuda. The Condors are 2-3-0 in the season series, but did win the last matchup on January 21 by a 6-5 score in overtime. LW Joe Gambardella had the game-winner.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield earned its 10th consecutive victory on Saturday with a 6-2 win in Ontario. D Caleb Jones and LW Evan Polei each had two goals in the win. G Shane Starrett stopped 31 to extend his personal winning streak to eight games.
San Jose suffered a rare regulation home loss on Tuesday, 4-2 at the hands of the Iowa Wild. C Matt Fonteyne and D Nick DeSimone had the goals for the Barracuda while goaltender G Josef Korenar suffered the loss despite 34 saves.
STREAKING
During the Condors 10-game winning streak, they have outscored teams 46-21. The second period has been the period in which the Condors have done the most damage with an AHL-leading 67 goals for this season. Their second period goal differential is +18 which is second in the league only to San Jose’s +24 in the middle frame.
