Condors vs. Utah – Game Preview

The Condors return to action after a full week off following Saturday’s game postponement against Las Vegas. Tonight’s matchup with the Utah Grizzlies is the first of six on the season, and the first of four at Rabobank Arena. The Condors make their lonetrip to Utah on January 24-25, 2014. Bakersfield went 3-1-0-0 against Utah a season ago and are 17-15-1-1 over the past five seasons against the Grizzlies.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield’s modest two-game winning streak came to an end last Friday at the hands of the Wranglers, 3-1. The Condors started the game well, scoring at 1:34 of the first period, when C Joel Broda muscled a shot past G Travis Fullerton off a feed from D Erik Burgdoerfer. G Chet Pickard started for the first time since last Tuesday and made 25 saves on 27 shots. Bakersfield and Las Vegas were supposed to meet the following evening, but road closures due to weather prevented the Wranglers from making it to Bakersfield and the game was postponed.

D Erik Burgdoerfer has assists in each of his last three games. He is third all-time in team history for games played as a defenseman with 221 in his career… C Joel Broda extended his point streak to three games with a goal last Friday. He now has three goals and four assists for seven points during that stretch…Bakersfield is fifth in attendance, averaging 5,553 fans per game.
