The Bakersfield Condors (1-1-0, 2pts) split the season-opening series with the Henderson Silver Knights (1-1-0, 2pts) with a 3-1 win on Sunday. Quinn Hutson (1g-1a) and Tucker Robertson (1g-1a) each had multi-point nights.

Quinn Hutson (2nd) beat the horn with a power-play blast at 19:58 of the first period to give the Condors their first lead of the season. Off a face-off won by Tucker Robertson, Seth Griffith was able to slide a pass across to Hutson just in time and last season’s AHL rookie goal scoring leader did the rest.

Aku Raty (1st) scored the game-winner off a stretch pass and beat Cameron Whitehead on a breakaway with just over five minutes left in regulation. Robertson (1st) added an empty netter for his first goal as a Condor and a 3-1 win.

Matt Tomkins stopped 26 of 27 shots for his first win of the season.
