GAME RECAP: JONSSON GETS FIRST AHL WIN, 3-2 OVER SAN JOSE

The Bakersfield Condors (4-5-1, 9pts) jumped out to an early lead and beat the San Jose Barracuda (5-7-0, 10pts), 3-2, on Friday. Samuel Jonsson stopped 28 of 30 shots for his first AHL win. Bakersfield improved to 4-3-1 on the road this season.

Seth Griffith (2nd) opened the scoring, 90 seconds in, off a centering dish from Daniel D’Amato. Josh Samanski (1st) extended the lead to 2-0 at 15:13 following up his own rebound. Griffith picked up his second point with an assist on the goal. John Gormley assisted on both goals.

San Jose’s top line combined for two goals in the second period to erase the Condors lead. However, Aku Raty (6th), back after missing two games with illness, extended his point streak to seven games (6g-3a) on a quick wrist shot from the left-wing circle at 18:31 to give the Condors a 3-2 lead after two periods.

Gormley finished with three assists and was +3 on the night.

Damien Carfagna, Connor Clattenburg, and Beau Akey remained out of the lineup with injuries. Connor Ungar returned from injury and served as the back up.
