All-Star Classic Details to be Announced

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, will be holding an invitation only press conference and luncheon at the Rabobank Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at Noon. The Condors will be unveiling the jerseys to be worn during this season’s ECHL All-Star Classic, announcing the All-Star Classic format, and the presenting sponsor as well. Tuesday, Sept. 14
The “Voice of the Condors” Kevin Bartl will be a guest on KGET-TV 17 at 5:50 a.m. to discuss Condor’s Annual Job Fair and National Anthem Tryouts that are taking place this week.

The “Voice of the Condors” Kevin Bartl will also be a guest on 29 Eyewitness News at 6:15 a.m. to discuss Condor’s Annual Job Fair and National Anthem Tryouts.

Colonel Claw’d and Condors staff will be visiting the Westbrook Children’s Center at 10 a.m. located at 6501 Schirra Court. Colonel will entertain the kids by acting out scenes of a book that will be read aloud by a Condors staff member and hand out cool prizes as well.

Wednesday, Sept. 15
The annual Job Fair will be held Wednesday, September 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rabobank Arena, located at 1001 Truxtun Ave. The Condors are hiring game-night positions for Mascots, Program Sales, Promotions Team, Kids Zone, Chuck-A-Puck Sales, Merchandise and more. Thursday, Sept. 16
The Condors are giving fans a great opportunity to test out potential seat locations for the 2010-11 season during the Select-A-Seat event on Thursday, Sept. 16th, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Also taking place on Sept. 16 are auditions for National Anthem singers, from 3 to 7 p.m.  Individual singers and small groups are invited to audition for the chance to perform in front of thousands during the season.

Friday, Sept. 17
Baby Cal and Condors staff will be visiting Colonel Howard Nichols Elementary School located on 3401 Renegade Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Baby Cal will participate in Friday’s assembly to congratulate the kids in achieving outstanding testing scores.

Saturday, Sept. 18
Slapshot, Condors staff and the inflatable slapshot booth will be out at Yokuts Park located just off of Empire Dr. for H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection International Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend to help celebrate the 20th anniversary in serving families in Kern County. There will be free entertainment, activities for the children, and food will be available for purchase.

Sunday, Sept. 19

Slapshot and Condors staff will be out at Silver Creek Park located at 7011 Harris Road to help kick off the League of Dreams opening day of the basketball season from 11 to 12 p.m. For more information about the League of Dreams click here.
In Memory of Mark Ehly:
The California Highway Patrol will be hosting/serving a special luncheon to honor the Memory of CHP Officer/ Condors Off-Ice Official Mark Ehly on Wednesday, September 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The price of the event will be a $25 donation that will benefit the CHP Widows and Orphans Fund. The luncheon will take place at Outback Steakhouse located at 5051 Stockdale Highway. Tickets are available at the door.
