Taking Steps to Overcome Autism

Valley Achievement Center is hosting its 8th Annual Walk-A-Thon to help raise funds for the numerous children and adults affected by autism and are supported by one of the center’s many programs. Baby Cal will attend the Walk/Run at Riverwalk Park from 10 am – noon. 

Festival of Beers

Colonel Claw’d and Condors staff will attend the 21st Annual  Festival of Beers from 1 – 3 pm on Saturday at Stramler Park, located next to the Kern County Museum at 3801 Chester Avenue.

The Active 20-30 Club’s “Festival of Beers” has become an annual staple for avid Bakersfield party-goers and event sponsors alike. Since its modest beginning, Festival of Beers now boasts an average attendance of 3,500 people and raises over $80,000 annually for in-need children of Kern County.

SPIRIT OF CONDORSTOWN

Nominations for recipients for the 2013-14 season are now underway. The Bakersfield Condors are looking for individuals that are an inspiration to others and honors community members who make Bakersfield the great place that it is!
