Week in Review:

The Condors Annual Open House and Family Day was a great success this year! Fans had the opportunity to watch the squad in action as they practiced and scrimmaged and also enjoyed a skate with the team. Also, thanks to the donations by the greatest fans in the ECHL, the Condors helped raise over 640 pounds of canned goods to benefit the Kern County Food Bank.  Over the past nine years, Condors fans have donated nearly 20,000 pounds of canned goods at the annual Open House event.

Condors forward Erick Lizon (pictured right) was at Luigi’s 100th Anniversary Celebration this past Sunday. Lizon, among other Bakersfield athletes and willing participants, participated in the first annual Pasta Eating Contest, and get this: he won! Lizon was the first to finish eating a bowl of spaghetti with his hands behind his back. Coming in second and third were BC football players.
