CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Celebrity Reading, Career Fair, and Charity Softball Game

TUESDAY MAY 8:

Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl returns for his weekly appearance on KERN Radio 1180 AM’s Scott Cox Show at 5 p.m. Tune in and hear if Bartl has any insight or behind the scenes news from the team or the front office.


THURSDAY MAY 10:

Condors broadcaster Ryan Holt and Baby Cal will appear atLaurelGlen Elementary School from 9-10 a.m. as part of their Celebrity Reader Day. The school is located at 2601 El Portal Drive. Ryan will read a story to the class while Baby Cal will entertain the students.

FRIDAY MAY 11:

Members of the Condors Front office will attend the Edison Middle School College and Career Fair from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The school is located at 854 School Street in Edison. The front office will discuss the importance of education and answer questions from the students about their careers and college experiences.

 

SATURDAY MAY 12:

Colonel Claw’d will attend the 2nd Annual Disaster Preparedness Community Workshop from 11:30-12 p.m. at the Friendship House Community Center. The center is located at 2424 Cottonwood Road. Colonel will get a crash course on what to do if there ever was a disaster in Condorstown!

Baby Cal and Condors staff will participate in the Bakersfield Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network Charity Softball Tournament and Picnic at Patriots Park from 1-4 p.m. Patriots Park is located on the corner of Ming and New Stine Rd. The always popular slapshot booth will be set up for everyone to take their turns shooting on the goalie and testing out their hockey skills. Proceeds raised benefit the Jeremy Staat Foundation. The foundation was founded by Jeremy Staat a former NFL player and a United States Marine.
