Recap of Last Week

The Condors were out in full force last week, which started off with a visit at Colonel Nichols Elementary School. Colonel visited a couple classrooms to hand out prizes, and joined the students in the chicken dance. Colonel and Cal then made their way to a Bakersfield Blaze game forColrock their annual Education Day at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

The Condors were also out at the Downtown Business Association’s Third Thursday at Mill Creek Park. The inflatable slapshot booth was set up in the kids area and Colonel also made a bold appearance by climbing the rock wall!

On Friday Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal joined two kindergarten classes in story time at Louise Sandrini Elementary School for their Celebrity Reader Day. Both mascots acted out scenes of a book that was read aloud by a Condors staff member. Also on Friday the Condors front office staff joined the Rabobank Arena for their Annual Golf Tournament at the Bakersfield Country Club. The proceeds go towards Children Joining Children for Success, which is a non-profit organization that has participated in Condors fundraisers. On Saturday, The Condors had a booth set up at the KRAB Radio “Free 4 All” held at Brighthouse Amphitheater at Riverwalk Park. Thousands showed up to the event and stopped by the Condors booth to spin the Prize wheel and take a few shots in the inflatable slapshot booth.
