Condors in the Community: Condors join Dragons Youth Hockey Brannstrom Memorial Tournament

Wednesday, Aug. 24

The Condors will be making their final summer park stop at Jefferson Park located on Jefferson St., just west of Beale Ave., this Wednesday from Noon to 3 p.m. Come out and enjoy the summer babycalkidsun and stop by the Condors booth to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. Also, the Inflatable Slapshot will be on hand for everyone to experience the game of hockey. Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be at the park to entertain the kids, as well.

Saturday, Aug. 27

The Condors will be joining the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center and Bakersfield Dragons Youth Hockey as they host the Brannstrom Memorial Fundraiser Tournament, this Saturday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center located at 1325 Q St. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the Brannstrom Memorial Fund, which gives financial assistance to youth hockey players. The Condors will have the inflatable slapshot set up for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be at the tournament to show their support as well. Weekend Recap:

The Condors were in full force in the community this weekend. Condors Head Coach Matt O’Dette served as a celebrity ice cream scooper at CALM Saturday for their summer annual Ice Cream Zoofari. Baby Cal appeared at the Bakersfield Blaze Game on Sunday night for Heaters Birthday and Kids Club Sunday. Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2011-12 Condors Kids Club. The Condors home opener is just 54 days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come to town Saturday, Oct. 15.
