FREEMAN HELPS OUT AT KUZZ’S RADIOTHON

Condors rookie sensation Scott Freeman, who is close to returning
to the ice from an injury, gave back to the community last week and answered phones at the KUZZ Radiothon. You may have heard Scott on the air or if you were one of the many who called in, perhaps you got to speak with him. All told, the two-day radiothon raised $168,124.

 

TIP A CONDOR COMING UP on FEB 21

The always anticipated “Tip A Condor” event will be held atHooters, located at 4208 Rosedale Highway Suite 100 on Tuesday, February 21st from 5-8 p.m. Don’t miss out on this great chance to interact with the players as they serve your food. There will also be plenty of items up for auction and fun had by all! The event benefits Shriners Hospital for Children. Tickets are on sale now for $25, include your choice of dinner options, and are extremely limited. They can be purchased at the Condors front office, Hooters, or the Kern County Shrine Club. Wed. February 15th:

Baby Cal will promote a fundraiser at Lil’ Explorers Pre-School, located at 8800 Harris Road, from 9-10 a.m. The last time Cal and the Condors were at Lil’ Explorers there was plenty of singing and dancing.
Cal then heads to a fundraising event at Rosedale North Elementary, located at 11500 Meacham Road, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The school will sell Condors tickets with part of the proceeds from the sale benefiting the school. To find out more information on fundraising, call 324-PUCK (7825).

 

Thurs. February 16th:
The busy week continues for Baby Cal as another fundraiser will be kicked off at Colonel Nichols Elementary from 10-11 a.m. The kids will be entertained and excited to get out there selling. The school is located at 3401 Renegade Rd.
Condors players not making the trip to Alaska will hang back and meet the students at Valley Schools from 12:30-1:30 p.m. They’ll promote the fundraiser that the school is in the process of completing and stress the importance of staying in school. Valley Schools is located at 2300 E. Brundage Lane.

Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl will  be a guest on the Scott Cox Show at 4:00 p.m. on KERN Radio 1180 AM. He’ll have all the scoop on what’s going on in Condorstown and will probably chat about becoming a national figure over the weekend.

Sat. February 18th:

The weekend set against Alaska continues with an 8:15 p.m. puck drop. Sun. February 19th:

Colonel Claw’d will rally bikers as they begin their cross-country trek as part of Bike Across America from 6:30-7:30 a.m. The Condors will have a part in the send-off as the participants prepare to head to the opposite coast. Colonel will be hanging out on the corner of Truxtun Ave. and S streets downtown.

LADIES NIGHT IN MARCH

Another highlight to the Condors calendar has been set as well with “Ladies Night” to be held on Monday, March 12. Time TBD. It’s a special event for the Condors women only as they get special tours of the rink, instruction from the players and coaches, and have an opportunity to ask the team plenty of questions! If you’re looking to learn more about the game and the team, this is definitely the event for you.
