TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors play their home opener on a Sunday forvs las vegasthe first time as the Las Vegas Wranglers come to Condorstown. It is the third of a three-in-three weekend for the Condors and the first game of the season for Las Vegas after having Friday and Saturday night off. Tonight marks the first of 11 meetings between the two sides and the first of six at Rabobank Arena.

KINGS CUP CELEBRATION AT 2 p.m.
Starting at 2 p.m. up until doors open, join the Los Angeles Kings street team, promo crew and mascot Bailey for a Stanley Cup Celebration. There will be Kings inflatables and games on the plaza from 2 – 4 p.m., and the first 2,000 kids 12 and under through the turnstiles will receive a Kings Stanley Cup Pennant.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield split a two-game set in San Francisco against the expansion Bulls to open the 2012-13 season. On Friday night, the Condors jumped out to a 4-1 lead and hung on for a 4-3 win after the Bulls mounted a third period charge. San Francisco took the second game on the weekend, 6-5, after scoring an early third period power-play goal. The Condors went 3-5 on the power play last night.

Las Vegas will play their first regular season game tonight after going 1-3-0-0 in four pre-season games against Ontario and Alaska.

CONDORS NOTES

Only one team in the ECHL has put up more goals in the first weekend of the season than the Condors’ nine… C Levi Nelson is alone atop the league’s scorers with six points (2g-4a) in two games…F Zach Cohen is also among early league leaders with 2g-2a… The Condors had a shorthanded goal in each of their two games in San Fran… F Robby Dee scored the seventh penalty shot tally in Condors history Friday night. Bakersfield is two for their last two attempts….F Alex Hudson was signed before the game. He played 19 games with Bakersfield last season and 15 in the American Hockey League with Manchester.

WRANGLERS NOTES
F Eric Lampe led the ECHL in goals scored with 37 a season ago…The Wranglers won the Western Conference title last season, falling in five games to Florida in the Kelly Cup Finals. They have advanced to post-season play in eight of their nine seasons…This is the second time the Wranglers will play in the Condors home opener, having done so in 2010-11.
