Bunz becomes 12th Condor to play in the NHL

CONDORSTOWN, Calif.  The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that G Tyler Bunz became the 12th Condor to play in the National Hockey League (NHL) when he debuted last night for the Edmonton Oilers in Los Angeles.
BUNZ
  • Replaced Ben Scrivens to start the third period last night
  • Played 20 minutes and stopped nine of 12 shots
  • Went 5-3-0-2 with the Condors last season with a 2.65 goals-against average (GAA) and a .903 save percentage
  • Joins former Condors F Bobby Robins (Boston) as former Condors to make their NHL debuts this season
  • Other Condors to reach the NHL: F Garret Stroshein, F Connor James, G Yutaka Fukufuji, G Danny Taylor, F Alexandre Bolduc, F MacGregor Sharp, F Dan Sexton, G Timo Pielmeier, F Maxime Macenauer, D/F Stu Bickel

CONDORS UNVEIL NEW LOGO
In front of hundreds of excited fans, the Condors unveiled their new American Hockey League (AHL) logo for the 2015-16 season. The team will adopt the colors of the Edmonton Oilers, royal blue and orange, all while maintaining the iconic look that that team has grown over 17 years. The AHL is the highest level of minor league professional hockey in North America and is one step from the NHL.
