Condors acquire Verreault and Haines from Greenville for Nelson
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Matt O’Dette announced today that the team has received F Francis Verreault and D Kyle Haines from the Greenville Road Warriors in exchange for C Levi Nelson.
Verreault was fourth on the Road Warriors in scoring at the time of Prior to his professional career, the Roberval, Quebec native played four seasons for McGill University in Canada and with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). With McGill, he led the team in scoring with 156 points (87g, 69a) in just 93 games played. In Chicoutimi, the 25-year old had 89 goals and 100 assists for 189 points in 301 games. Most of the jerseys worn by the Condors Saturday were bid upon after the game. Two of the jerseys – G Scott Greenham and F Liam Huculak – will be put up online next week. Stay tuned for bidding details. The proceeds will benefit League of Dreams. In addition, a Chris Kushneriuk jersey was auctioned off separately, with the proceeds going directly toward the Condors winger’s medical bills as he battles cancer.
