Condors claim defenseman Adam Ross off waivers; Release two players

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the team has released the following players from the roster.

In addition, the team announced today that it has claimed D Adam Ross off waivers from the Kalamazoo Wings. The Red Deer, AB native accumulated 30 points (7g-23a) and 209 penalty minutes in 139 games played over four years at Merrimack College (Hockey East). He served as the Warriors’ captain in 2010-11. At the end of the 2010-11 season, Ross made his professional debut with the Victoria Salmon Kings, appearing in two games.

The Condors now have 23 players on the training camp roster.

The Condors host their 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 17 at Noon. This year’s event will be at RiverLakes Golf Course located at 5201 RiverLakes Dr. Teams are comprised of four entrants and a Condors player at a cost of $125 per person. Entry fee includes greens fees, cart, range balls, a sack lunch, one free putt in the putting contest, three free raffle tickets, specialty hat and a goodie bag. The Condors home opener is Saturday, Oct. 15, when the Colorado Eagles come to town. The first 3,000 fans 5 and older will get a Condors Division Championship Banner, sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News, Fox Sports Radio 970 and American Business machines. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and game time is 7 p.m. Prior to the game, there will be a Party on the Plaza starting at 4 p.m., presented by the Downtown Business Association, with vendors, carnival-style games, food, beer garden and more.

Individual game tickets are now on sale. Tickets may purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting the Rabobank Arena Box Office. The box office is open Monday thru Friday with hours from 10 a.m. til 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with extended hours on gamedays.
