Condors Conclude Pre-Season with 4-3 Loss in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. – Rookie F Brett Perlini tallied in his first game with the Condors, but Bakersfield could not overcome Stockton and fell 4-3 in both teams final games of the pre-season.
Bakersfield fell behind at 2:33 of the first period as F Kyle O’Kane swept home his own rebound past Condors G Dustin Carlson to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. The Condors answered on their first shot of the game at 6:25 as C Levi Nelson one-timed a feed from LW Anthony Perdicaro to knot the game at 1-1. Stockton outshot Bakersfield, 13-7.

C Phil Mangen and D Mike Little gave the Thunder a two-goal lead in the second period, 3-1, with goals at 1:37 and 12:02 respectively. The Condors would cut into the lead though, 3-2, 50 seconds after Little’s tally, when F Brett Perlini uncorked a devastating wrist shot from just inside the blue line to beat Thunder netminder Jimmy Spratt glove side. The Thunder held the shot advantage, 9-7.

LW Peter Boyd converted an odd-man rush on the power play at the 12:19 mark to tie the game at 3-3, but 37 seconds later F Garet Hunt put Stockton ahead for good at 4-3 off a shot from in tight. The Condors pulled the netminder late, but were unable to convert on their offensive zone pressure. Shots in the third favored Bakersfield, 15-12.
