Condors Loan Rookie Forward Alex Hudson to Manchester (AHL)

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that rookie F Alex Hudson has been loaned to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Monarchs are the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. Hudson becomes the third Condor this season to reach the AHL after G Matt Keetley (Syracuse) and C Robby Dee (Abbotsford) each were sent up in January.

“We’re excited and pleased that ‘Huddy’ gets this opportunity,” said Condors Head Coach Matt O’Dette. “He’s worked hard since coming here and we wish him all the best.”

Hudson, 24, signed with the Condors on Jan. 6 after playing in four

seasons with the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. In 11 games with Bakersfield, the 6’1″, 212 lbs. rookie recorded one goal and three assists for four points. He scored his first professional goal on Jan. 27 at Rabobank Arena against the Ontario Reign.

The Corona, Calif. native scored 37 times and added 45 assists for 82 points in 130 collegiate games.
