GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

The Bakersfield Condors are 5-1-0 in the month of November and open up a two-game set against Calgary.

LAST TIME OUT

The Condors nearly rallied from three down in the third, but saw their five-game winning streak come to an end in a 4-3 loss to Colorado on Tuesday. Philip Broberg scored twice in the loss. Calgary took three of a possible four points in Winnipeg over the weekend. Cole Schwindt had two goals in Sunday’s overtime loss.

GOOD STARTS

Tuesday was just the second time all season the Condors did not have at least a share of the lead after 20 minutes.

OLLIE! OLLIE!

After an injury to Calvin Pickard on Tuesday early in the second period, Ollie Rodrigue came on to stop 19 of 20 shots. He’s allowed just three goals in his last three appearances, stopping 76 of 79 shots in the process. Currently, he sits fourth in goals-against (2.00) and save percentage (.931) among qualified goalies this season.

BALANCED ATTACK

With Broberg and Greg McKegg each notching their first tallies of the season on Tuesday, the Condors have had 20 different players record a goal in 12 games.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Tonight is the first of eight against the Wranglers. Calgary relocated from Stockton over the summer after advancing to the Western Conference Finals a season ago. They have points in five straight (4-0-1).

FINISH STRONG

Bakersfield is +11 in third period goal differential this season, scoring 19 times and only allowing eight.

MAKING MOVES

The Condors brought in goaltender Ryan Fanti and d-man Adam Brubacher earlier this week. Justin Bailey is expected to make his Condors debut tonight and Tyler Benson was assigned on conditioning from Edmonton.
