GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

The Condors road trip wraps up in Palm Desert at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Noah Philp rallied the Condors at 3-3 in the third period, but a late Matthew Phillips goal gave the Calgary Wranglers a 4-3 win on Tuesday.

NIPPED LATE

Tuesday was the seventh time this year the Condors were tied with six minutes left in regulation and failed to register a point. The team’s two overtime games are tied for the second fewest in the AHL. An opposition game-winning goal has been scored in the third period on six other occasions this year.

WELCOME TO THE DESERT

Tonight is the first of four games for the Condors in Palm Desert this season. It is the 24th different indoor building the Condors will have played in as members of the AHL and 26th different venue with two outdoor games in Sacramento and Bakersfield.

TIGHT ONES

Bakersfield has played four consecutive one-goal games. Overall, 18 of the team’s 32 games have been one-goal games (7-10-1).

ROAD LIFE

The Condors have just seven home games between now and March 3. The team will play 14 of its next 21 games on the road before a seven-game homestand in March. Bakersfield will play 14 home games in the final eight weeks of the season.

KESSELRING EXPECTED BACK

Michael Kesselring, the AHL goal leader for a d-man with 10, is expected back tonight after missing the last three games with illness. His 10 goals are three off the Condors AHL goal record for a d-man set by Brad Hunt in 2015-16.

ALL-STAR SETH

Seth Griffith will represent the Condors at the AHL All-Star Classic in Laval in February. He is the team’s leading scorer with 27 points (9g-18a) in 32 games.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Coachella Valley, atop the Pacific Division, has points in nine straight (8-0-1). Kole Lind and Andrew Poturalski are both tied for 10th in the AHL scoring race.
