GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

The Condors open a four-game road trip with the first of two in Tucson against the Roadrunners. Tucson has won three straight in the season series, including a 4-3 shootout win on Saturday in Bakersfield.

LAST TIME OUT

Bakersfield earned points in three straight with a 5-1 victory over San Diego on Wednesday. Carter Savoie recorded his first professional hat trick while fellow rookie Xavier Bourgault had two assists. Calvin Pickard stopped 29 of 30 in the win.

HATTY SEASON

Carter Savoie notched the team’s first hat trick of the season on Wednesday. In doing so, he became just the second Condors rookie to record a hat trick (Ryan McLeod, 2021). He now has four goals in his last three games in addition to the team’s lone shootout goal on Saturday.

PICK’N RIGHT BACK UP

Calvin Pickard stopped 29 of 30 shots on Wednesday. He has won five of his last six decisions, allowing just 13 goals over his last seven appearances. Over that span he has stopped 196 of 209 shots, good for a .938 save percentage.

BOURGY WITH A PAIR

Xavier Bourgault is second on the Condors in scoring after recording two assists on Wednesday. His nine goals are t-17th among all AHL rookies.

AIR MILES

The Condors will play 12 of their next 17 games on the road, including five separate flight trips over the next six weeks.

CAP’N IT

Brad Malone scored his second of the season on Wednesday and was +3 on the night.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Following their win in Bakersfield Saturday, Tucson dropped a pair of games in Coachella Valley and Henderson respectively. They are 3-0 against the Condors this season, including a pair of wins in Tucson back in October. They feature four players who have double digit goal scoring this season.
