The Bakersfield Condors open a six-game homestand on Dignity Health Home Ice at Mechanics Bank Arena tonight at 7 p.m. It is the sixth of eight meetings with the Abbotsford Canucks, with the Condors owning a 4-1-0 record through five games. If the Calder Cup Playoffs started today, the fourth-seeded Condors would host the fifth-seeded Canucks in a best-of-three first round series.

PERLINI REVVING UP

Brendan Perlini recorded back-to-back multi-point games to close the road trip. On Wednesday he assisted on three goals and last night had two points. He now has nine points in 10 games with the Condors this season.

HOME COOOKIN’

Bakersfield opens a six-game homestand tonight and will play 12 of its final 17 games in Condorstown. The Condors are 13-6-1-2 at home, good for a .659 points percentage.

WELCOME BACK CAP

A couple weeks removed from his first goal with the Edmonton Oilers, Condors captain Brad Malone is expected to return to the lineup tonight. He has recorded 31 points (11g-20a) in 35 games this season.

MARODY THE MAGIC MAN

Cooper Marody notched his third career AHL hat trick on Wednesday and followed it up with two assists last night. He has 12 points (5g-7a) in his last 10 games.

STUEY SAVES

Stuart Skinner earned win number 13 last night with 21 saves. On the season, he is now 13-3-4 with a 2.16 GAA and .922 save percentage.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The Condors are six points back of Colorado for third in the division, but have three games in hand on the Eagles. Bakersfield will play Colorado three more times this season. DOWN THE HALL

Abbotsford scored three times late in the third period and in overtime for a come-from-behind 5-4 win over Manitoba on Wednesday. They are 6-3-1 in their last 10 and are led by Sheldon Dries, whose 31 goals are second in the AHL.
