TONIGHT
The Condors and Wranglers meet up for the first of a two-game weekend set in Bakersfield tonight. It is the 12th meeting of the season between the two clubs, with the Condors posting a record of 8-3-0-0 head-to-head. It has been a close series, with 9 of the 11 contests being decided by just one or two goals. However none of the meetings have gone to overtime.In case you missed it
G Laurent Brossoit turned aside 30 shots en route to matching an ECHL record with his 8th shutout, as Bakersfield picked up a 3-0win in Ontario Friday night. C Gary Steffes notched his 8th goal in nine games against Ontario, D Colin Joe scored his first pro goal, and C Joel Broda lit the lamp for the 20th time on the season in his return from the American Hockey League.The Las Vegas Wranglers had the night off on Friday, and are looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Twice in the last three games they scored multiple goals in the waning minutes of a game – once to beat Alaska and the other to turn a 6-3 deficit into a 6-5 nail biter against the Condors last Tuesday.

Playoff picture
Bakersfield has surged past the Stockton Thunder in the standings,and are now in 6th place in the Western Conference with 70 points and a .522 win pct. Their magic number to clinch at least 6th is seven points. They also trail the Colorado Eagles by just four points for 5th place. The Eagles are winless in their last four games and have four games remaining.

F Brett Beebe, recently released by the Reign, made his Condors debut last night in Ontario, recording an assist and was ejected after a late fight… D Colin Joe has 1g-1a in the first 3 games of his pro career… C Joel Broda returned to the Condors lineup for the first time since Feb. 17… D Wes Cunningham also returned to the Condors lineup last night. The veteran blueliner, who missed the last month with a lower body injury, had an assist and was +2 in his return… C Gary Steffes has scored 8 of his 18 goals against Ontario this season.
