PROMOTION DETAILS: The first 2,000 kids, 17 and under, will take home a Condors Soccer Ball presented by 23 ABC and La Preciosa 105.3 FM. Those part of the large soccer club group for tonight’s game will hear from CSU-B soccer players and coaches during the first intermission.

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors open the month of February and return from the All-Star break with their only matchup against the Iowa Wild this season. On January 19 in Des Moines, the Condors erased 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to win 4-3 in overtime.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield is winless in four games after a 4-2 loss to San Diego on Saturday night. Bakersfield fell behind 3-0 after one period and could not recover. RW David Gust and RW Patrick Russell each scored in the loss for the Condors.

While the Condors have gone 0-3-1 since beating Iowa, the Wild have won three straight including a sweep of the Cleveland Monsters on the road. Last Saturday, three different players lit the lamp and G Niklas Svedberg stopped 30 of 31 for his team-leading 11th win of the season. LW Kyle Rau, D Ryan Murphy, and D Nick Seeler each had multi-point, one goal, one assist nights.

BUSY 48 HOURS ON THE TRANSACTIONS PAGE

G Eddie Pasquale was traded to Tampa Bay by Edmonton for future considerations. In a separate move, RW Ty Loney and G Nic Riopel were acquired from Syracuse (AHL) for future considerations. Loney joined the team in Bakersfield. Then, with G Laurent Brossoit recalled by Edmonton, goalies Nick Ellis and Shane Starrett were reassigned to Bakersfield from Wichita.

CURRIE MOVES UP THE LIST

Tonight, Josh Currie ties Quinn Fair for 7th on the Condors all-time games played list with 234. His 55 goals are 13th, his 67 assists are tied for 14th, and his 124 points are 13th all-time.

WORKING OVERTIME

The Condors and Wild each have a league-leading seven overtime losses. Bakersfield is 3-7 in overtime, while the Wild are 4-7. In shootouts, the Condors are 2-1 while the Wild are 1-3.

LW Joe Gambardella is 5th among rookies in shooting percentage (20%, 5-25)… RW Ty Loney, acquired Wednesday by Bakersfield had nine points (4g-5a) in 20 games with Chicago last season. A collegiate teammate of Joey LaLeggia, Loney has 20 points (6g-14a) in 98 career AHL games and 92 points (44g-48a) in 96 career ECHL games.
