GAME RECAP: CALGARY POWERS PAST CONDORS IN 4-3 WIN

The Bakersfield Condors (2-3-0, 4pts) surrendered four power play goals and fell 4-3 to the Calgary Wranglers (5-2-0, 10pts) in front of 6,628 in the team’s home opener.

Rory Kerins gave Calgary a 1-0 lead with its third power play goal in three games against the Condors at 8:06 of the first period.

Damien Carfagna (1st) tied the game at 1-1 on the power play from the slot at 6:27 of the second frame. Tucker Robertson (2nd) scored shorthanded on the next shift, stripping Calgary goaltender Kirill Zarubin and wrapping home a 2-1 lead at 7:19. The lead was short lived as Ben Jones leveled the game at 2-2 on the same power play. All three goals came in the span of 1:31.

A pair of power-play goals pulled Calgary in front 4-2 in the third. Riley Stillman (1st) cut the lead in half with just over five minutes left, but it was not enough in a 4-3 loss.

Robertson had a goal and assist for the Condors. His goal was the second shorthanded goal for the team in two games. Eduards Tralmaks had five shots and assisted on Stillman’s goal, his first point as a Condor.
