Noel Hoefenmayer scores the game-winner in the final minutes for a season-opening win.
Noel Hoefenmayer (1st) ripped a one-timer in the dying minutes of the third to give the Bakersfield Condors (1-0-0, 2pts) a 3-2 season opening win in Coachella Valley. Lane Pederson (1st) and James Hamblin (1st) had the other goals for Bakersfield, who led 2-0 after two. Calvin Pickard picked up the win, stopping 36 of 38 on the night and 17 in the third period alone.
