GAME RECAP: CONDORS FALL IN CALGARY, 2-1
The Bakersfield Condors (1-2-0, 2pts) fell behind after two and could not recover in a 2-1 loss to the Calgary Wranglers (3-0-0, 6pts) on Friday.
After a scoreless first period, Calgary struck for two goals in the second on goals from Connor Zary and Ben Jones to lead 2-0 after two frames.
Quinn Hutson (3rd) scored off a rush to run his goal scoring streak to three games to start the season to cut the deficit to 2-1. That would be as close as the Condors would get as they could not score with the extra attacker on late in the frame. Matt Tomkins stopped 24 of 26 shots.
The Condors have scored six of their seven goals this season in the third period.
