The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Brad Malone from Bakersfield (AHL) on an emergency basis.


Malone, 28, has 31 points (13G, 18A) in 50 games with Bakersfield (AHL) this year.  The native of Chatham, NB has already appeared in seven games with the Oilers this year.


The 6’2”, 207-pound forward is in his seventh professional season, and has appeared in 176 career NHL games, posting 30 points (13G, 17A) and 188 penalty minutes.


Malone was signed as a free agent by the Oilers on July 3, 2017.


The Oilers have also assigned defenceman Dillon Simpson to Bakersfield (AHL).
