Maxime Macenauer becomes 9th Condor to reach the NHL

Maxime Macenauer became the 9th Condor to graduate to the National Hockey League, when he made his debut with the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night. The Ducks lost 4-1 to the Buffalo Sabres in the game, which was played in Helsinki, Finland, but Macenauer was a +1 with a shot on goal in 10:35 of ice time. He was also the 468th player in ECHL history to make his NHL debut.

Macenauer was a rookie for the Condors in 2009-10, assigned by the Ducks. He skated in 45 games that season, missing significant time to injury, and recorded 5g-16a-21pts with 49 penalty minutes. G Timo Pielmeier, C MacGregor Sharp and RW Dan Sexton also reached the NHL after skating for the Condors that season.
