Oilers recall Brossoit; assign Benning

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced today that G Laurent Brossoit has been recalled by the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers assigned D Matthew Benning to Bakersfield as well. Bakersfield opens the season tomorrow in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Moose at 5 p.m.

BROSSOIT RECALLED; BENNING ASSIGNED 

  • Brossoit, 23, was a 2015-16 AHL All-Star with the Condors
  • Benning, 22, had 19 points (6g-13a) in 41 games with Northeastern University last season and was drafted in the 6th round (#175 overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft

The Condors second AHL campaign and the 19th season of Bakersfield Condors hockey gets underway tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. on the road against the Manitoba Moose. CONDORS HOME OPENER IS SATURDAY, OCT 22 @ 6 P.M.
Bakersfield plays on home ice for the first time, Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Condors Retro Cap presented by Eyewitness News, 98.5 The Fox, and Rabobank. It will be the team’s first look at the newest member of the Pacific Division, the Tucson Roadrunners.
